Unleash your potential as an Electrical Engineer at Advanced Programs, where you'll design secure products empowering the United States, NATO, and allies to safeguard sensitive information in high-threat environments. Engage in the research, development, and design of cutting-edge communications, computing, and networking products that adhere to rigorous security standards, including emanations (TEMPEST) and IP-based communications vulnerabilities. As a key player in our team, you'll be immersed in component-level design of analog and digital systems, specializing in EMI/RFI design. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform component-level design of both analog and digital systems with an emphasis on EMI/RFI design.
  • Apply your working knowledge of filter circuit design.
  • Utilize ORCAD PCB design software or similar application.
  • Work with mechanical engineers, TEMPEST engineers, and other disciplines during systems integration of prototype or manufactured units.
  • Serve as Project Lead, managing schedules, budgets, and quality.
  • Reviews all drawings and schematics required to support a TEMPEST product design.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to help solve problems surfacing in production.
  • Evaluate operational systems, recommending modifications for improved performance.
  • Other duties as assigned and occasional travel may be required <5%.

Qualifications:

  • General understanding of RF/microwave transmission lines
  • PCB layout experience
  • Experience with test equipment including O-scopes, signal/spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, multi-meters, and signal generators
  • Experience using HFSS software
  • Good understanding of logic gates
  • Knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion
  • Knowledge of impedance matching and s-parameters
  • Understanding of EM theory and how to properly shield devices from unwanted transmissions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or University with 5 years of experience. Current Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

The likely salary range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
