Electrical Engineer in Romeo

Responsibilities

    \n
  • Design electrical systems and schematics for automated manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • \n

  • Develop electrical control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and documentation using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • \n

  • Design automation solutions for injection molding equipment and end-of-arm tooling.
  • \n

  • Support PLC-controlled automation, robotics, HMIs, sensors, and electrical control systems.
  • \n

  • Improve existing manufacturing equipment by implementing electrical and automation upgrades.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues as needed to support production.
  • \n

  • Manage projects from initial concept through design, installation, testing, and implementation.
  • \n

  • Work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and production teams.
  • \n

  • Help transition outsourced electrical design work to an in-house engineering function.
  • \n

  • Ensure designs meet applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company specifications.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • \n

  • 5+ years of electrical design experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • \n

  • Experience designing electrical systems for industrial automation or custom machinery.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
  • \n

  • Experience with PLCs, industrial controls, robotics, HMIs, and automated equipment.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • \n

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

  • Experience supporting injection molding automation is highly but not required.
  • \n
