Electrical Engineer - Relay Settings in Denver

Location: Bryan, TX or Denver, CO (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Salary:
$110,000 - $150,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relay settings for SEL, GE, ABB, and similar relay platforms.
  • Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using CAPE, ASPEN, and ETAP.
  • Conduct relay misoperation analysis using Wavewin and SEL SynchroWave.
  • Develop and review NERC PRC compliance reports.
  • Create relay settings for wide-area coordination and generator projects.
  • Perform power system studies including load flow, grounding, transformer sizing, and short-circuit analysis.
  • Apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams and clients to support successful project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited ).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with protective relaying, relay settings, and power system studies.
  • Ability to read one-line diagrams, control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
