Responsibilities in your new role as Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be integral to the operational success of our client’s facility. Your key responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth operations. You will diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly, assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades. Compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards will be paramount, as will maintaining accurate records of electrical maintenance and repairs.



You will collaborate effectively with mechanical engineers and production teams to address any issues that arise and support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.



Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Electrical Engineer who holds a 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification as an essential requirement. You should possess an electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HND, or equivalent) and have proven experience in maintenance engineering within food production or FMCG environments.



A strong knowledge of PLC systems, control panels, and electrical fault-finding is vital. You must excel under pressure, enabling you to respond quickly to unexpected breakdowns while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront of your work.
