Electrical Engineer\n Location: Portsmouth / Hybrid\n Salary: Competitive + benefits\n\nThe Opportunity\n We're working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy delivering design and build solutions across the UK and internationally.\n\nThis business operates in highly regulated and secure environments, supporting projects across sectors such as defence, infrastructure, and government estates. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team.\n This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically complex, high-impact projects where safety, compliance, and resilience are critical.\n\nThe Role\n You will play a key role in delivering electrical building services design across the full project lifecycle - from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design, installation, and commissioning.\n\nWorking within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you'll gain exposure to projects that require innovative thinking and a high level of technical assurance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and associated infrastructure\nProduce technical drawings, specifications, and calculations\nSupport projects from concept through to completion\nCarry out site surveys and contribute to feasibility studies\nWork closely with internal teams across multiple disciplines\nEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g. BS7671)\nLiaise with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders\nSupport testing, commissioning, and project handoverAbout You\n\nDegree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services\nExperience in electrical design within a consultancy or design & build environment\nStrong understanding of building services systems\nFamiliarity with UK standards and regulations\nExcellent communication and teamwork skillsDesirable Experience\n\nExperience working in regulated sectors (e.g.
