Building a sustainable tomorrow\n\nBAM UK & Ireland are recruiting a Static Electrical Engineer to join the team based at the Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre.\n\nThis role is working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.\n\nMaking Possible\n\n * Maintain the full, safe operational functionality and presentation of all electrical and mechanical services across the site.\n\n * Ensure checking, cleaning, servicing, maintenance, and record-keeping are consistently carried out in line with company standards, SFG20, NHS HTM’s, and all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.\n\n * Maximise equipment safety, reliability, availability, and presentation.\n\n * Carry out repairs within the scope of training, competency, and authorisation.\n\n * Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete all associated documentation and reports accurately.\n\n * Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns, completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner.\n\n * Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.\n\n * Be part of an out of hours on call rota.\n\n * Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.\n\n * Carry out work in a safe, professional, and diligent manner.\n\n * Comply with all Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.\n\nIND1\n\nYour team\n\nBased at the Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\nIn addition to an attractive salary we offer a significant benefits package including contributory pension, BUPA, life assurance, 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays), gym subsidy, BAM social club membership and many more exciting benefits.\n\nWhat do you bring to the role?\n\n * Relevant electrical qualifications and proven industry experience.\n\n * Good working knowledge of mechanical services/systems.\n\n * Demonstrable experience working as an Electrical Engineer.\n\n * Experience of working within a call-out rota environment.\n\n * Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.\n\n * A strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills.\n\n * A proactive approach with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.\n\n * Ability to anticipate, diagnose, and repair faults effectively.\n\n * Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment would be highly desirable (ideally with an understanding of healthcare compliance and operational requirements).\n\nAbout BAM\n\nBuilding a sustainable tomorrow.
