Electrician Location: Peterborough, UK
Are you a skilled electrician with a desire to lead? Join our team as an Electrician building and testing Custom Control Panels in Peterborough! Supporting the Production Manager, you'll be directly involved in panel build, testing and on site retrofits and modifications.
Main Tasks & Duties:
Panel Building and Testing (based in Workshop in Peterborough)
- Assembly of mild and stainless steel control panel enclosures
- Gear plate layout and assembly of components
- Panel wiring up to 415VAC including 3-phase, flexibar wiring and point-to-point panel wiring from the schematics
- Conduct pre-delivery electrical panel testing, fault finding, rectification & verification
On-Site Electrical Modifications (Requires Travel UK and Abroad)
- Panel retrofits & modifications
- On-site electrical testing and fault finding
- Provide electrical support for IO test and commissioning
Candidate Profile • Proficient in English.
- Electrical technical qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance or a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering ideally obtained during a formal apprenticeship or 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience in panel building and site modifications.
- Desire to lead a small team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations and safety standards.
- Familiarity with drives, PLCs, and control gear.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and a team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
