Electrical Engineer\n\nLocation: Oxford\nSalary: Up to £45,000 per annum\nShift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm\n\nOverview\n\nWe are currently seeking experienced and electrically biased Multiskilled Engineers to join a large on-site engineering team within a prestigious government building in Colindale.\n\nThis role is ideally suited to engineers with a strong electrical background and solid experience within building services maintenance. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining critical electrical infrastructure and supporting associated mechanical systems across a high-profile and technically demanding environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical building services systems\n\n * Diagnose, fault-find, and repair electrical systems including:\n\n * Lighting systems\n\n * Power distribution systems\n\n * Emergency lighting\n\n * Control panels\n\n * Electrical circuits and associated plant\n\n * Conduct electrical testing, inspections, and minor installation works in accordance with current regulations\n\n * Support and maintain critical plant equipment including pumps, motors, generators, and UPS systems\n\n * Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal system performance\n\n * Assist with maintenance of HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, and temperature control systems\n\n * Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and emergency situations\n\nRequirements\n\n * Strong electrical bias with experience in commercial building services maintenance\n\n * Proven experience working on electrical distribution systems, fault finding, and electrical maintenance\n\n * Knowledge of BMS systems, HVAC equipment, AHUs, FCUs, and associated plant\n\n * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification essential\n\n * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification\n\n * Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n\n * Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance within commercial or critical environments\n\nPackage & Benefits\n\n * Salary up to £45,000 per annum\n\n * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays\n\n * Overtime opportunities available\n\n * Long-term career stability within a well-established engineering team\n\n * Ongoing training and career progression opportunities
