Installation Engineer\n\nSalary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per annum\n\nJob Description:\n\nDelivery, Installation and Case Build Engineer\n\nOverview\nOur client is seeking a motivated and reliable Delivery, Installation and Case Build Engineer to join their team.\n\nRole Summary\n\nYou will be responsible for the safe delivery, installation, and efficient assembly and customisation of refrigerated display cases. Based at a warehousing facility in Northamptonshire, you will spend a significant portion of your time travelling to customer sites to carry out installations.\n\nThis is a full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and overnight work required to meet installation schedules or customer deadlines. The role involves a standard 40-hour working week.\n\nOvernight stays will be necessary when working at remote locations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSafely load display cases onto vehicles (up to 7.5 tonnes) using forklifts and appropriate manual handling techniques.\nTransport and deliver display cases to client sites using a vehicle under 7.5 tonnes, holding a valid Category C1 licence.\nConduct accurate, high-quality installations in accordance with company procedures, site requirements, and industry best practises.\nFit accessories, trims, and peripheral components to complete installations to specification.\nIdentify, resolve, and document any on-site quality or technical issues promptly and professionally.\nMaintain clear and accurate records relating to cabinet builds, installations, and site activities.\nComply fully with all company health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as any client-specific requirements.\nAssemble, configure, and prepare refrigerated display cabinets for installation.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of installation and build processes through constructive feedback and collaboration with operations and engineering teams.\nRepresent the company professionally at all times, upholding its reputation for service quality and reliability.\nSupport on-site snagging, additional deliveries, or service visits as required.\nAssist with broader manufacturing or operational projects, especially during off-peak periods.\nSkills & Requirements\n\nEssential:\n\nMinimum of five years’ practical experience in a similar installation, construction, or engineering role.\nAbility to read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings and operating procedures accurately.\nPhysically fit, capable of manual handling and able to pass a medical for a C1 licence.\nWillingness to travel and stay away from home, typically averaging two nights per week.\nFlexibility to work occasional weekends as required.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nExceptional attention to detail.\nEffective problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.\nSelf-motivated team player who can also work independently.\nFull UK driving licence.\nCommitment to undertake relevant training programmes.\nDesirable:\n\nCategory C1 licence and CPC qualifications.\nCITB Site Safety qualification.\nTraining in Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, or First Aid at Work.\nBackground in refrigeration and/or electrical systems.\nForklift licence.\nLocation\n\nCandidates located between Northampton and Swindon are encouraged to apply.\n\nEmployment Details\n\nJob Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompany pension scheme\nExperience:\n\nEquipment Installation: Minimum 5 years ()\nLicence/Certification:\n\nDriving Licence (required)\nCategory C1 Licence ()\nWork Authorisation:\n\nUnited Kingdom (required)\nWork Location: Primarily on the road
