We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to work for a Renewables client remotely in the South Region (M4 Corridor)\n\nLocation: Nationwide Coverage\n\nYou must be be based in the Gloucester, Oxford , Bristol, Swindon or Reading areas\n\nClient profile:\n\nLeading independent energy specialist with over a quarter of a century’s experience in specialist independent systems.\n\nThey have developed an enviable array of systems and services that benefit our clients’ energy requirements and help reduce the emission of harmful greenhouse gases.\n\nAs a pioneer of Landfill Gas to Energy (LFG) projects, we have a strong track record in the development of power projects both in the UK and overseas and we are now diversifying our operations into flexible reserve , energy storage, behind the meter and other technologies. This expansion aims to establish us as a leader in these emergent markets in the coming years.\n\nThey develop a diverse range of energy projects, including Landfill Gas , Flare Systems, Embedded Gas , BESS, Combined Heat & Power systems, Client-side Behind the Meter power , Solar/PV arrays and more, in the UK and overseas.\n\nWe are looking for Electrical Engineer who has significant Electrical experience and Reciprocating Power exposure or, is keen to develop within the reciprocating sector to join our team based around the UK\n\nMain responsibilities:\n\nUtilisation, compliance and improvement of the company’s operations and maintenance procedures, manuals, record keeping and stock control systems\n\nDay to day operations and maintenance including (but not limited to); fault diagnosis, service, modification, replacement, and rectification\n\nInterrogate and decipher programme logic or signal faults to resolve control and sequence shortfall.\n\nDevelopment and supervision of operations staff with the intention of increasing direct responsibility (where this is cost effective) for all aspects of Electrics and Control.\n\nMaintain progress on all electrical works to ensure works are carried out in a safe, timely, and efficient manner\n\nCoordinate the company NICEIC accreditation.\n\nCoordinate the Fire and Gas testing of all units and sites in accordance with current regulations.\n\nDevelop fault finding, control and replacement manuals for electrical equipment in conjunction with the Electrical Engineering Manager\n\nDelivery of fully commissioned and tested gas peaker projects into the Operations phase (in conjunction with the Project Dept)\n\nDevelop, enhance, and deliver electrical/technical related training courses in conjunction other departments\n\nQuality control and fault reporting of new plant and equipment\n\nLiaison with other departments on upgrading and improvement specifications\n\nSupervise and or undertake all necessary installation and, commissioning tests and ensure that records are accurate and retained\n\nEnsure company quality procedures are fully implemented\n\nEnsure all work and practices are carried out in accordance with current H&S legislation and the company H&S policy and procedures\n\nA commitment to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge, and that of the engineers working with you\n\nManaging your time and travel effectively.\n\nKey tasks:\n\nEnsure inspection and maintenance of LV electrical equipment\n\nSupervise and undertake operation of HV switchgear\n\nReplace and Upgrade obsolete Control Systems\n\nScoping of Electrical Engineering jobs producing recommendations for works to be carried out\n\nPrepare develop and deliver Electrical training in conjunction with other departments\n\nCommissioning and incorporation of new facilities and plant into Operations\n\nPreparation of commissioning and testing strategies and setting of standards in conjunction with the Electrical Engineering Manager\n\nProvide 24-hour call out support cover to respond to operating matters as per agreed rota\n\nPrioritisation and coordination of your own workload\n\nProvide support, guidance, and training to the staff on fault finding, commissioning, rectifying, and remediation.\n\nAttendance at all relevant meetings\n\nAny reasonable task required by the management in the exercising of its goals.\n\nKnowledge/Experience\n\nExtensive knowledge and experience of Electrical maintenance, Control Systems, and Commissioning\n\nExperience with CHP, Solar systems development, and commissioning\n\nGas Engine Control and Commissioning (CAT, Perkins, MAN, MWM, MTU, Merc, Scania, etc)\n\nExperience with electric/electronic controls 12v DC to 415v AC 3ø.\n\nControl Panel Upgrade\n\nFault location, diagnosis, and rectification of systems, PLC and logic\n\nGassafe Accreditation (or ability to complete within probation)\n\n18th Edition and EIT 2391:52\n\nHV AP/SAP\n\nPrioritisation\n\nCurrent Legislation\n\nComputer literate\n\nHold full UK driver licence and passport.\n\nBenefits:\n\nWe value our employees and encourage a work life balance for everyone.
