Electrical Engineer / Designer (3+ Years)

Location: Orlando, FL

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer or Designer with 3+ years of experience to join a growing MEP consulting firm in Orlando. This role will focus on the design of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, education, government, and healthcare facilities. This is a great opportunity to work alongside senior engineers while continuing to develop your technical and project experience.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation
• Perform load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment sizing
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to develop coordinated design models and drawings
• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams
• Assist with field investigations, site visits, and construction administration
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes including NEC and local regulations
• Support project teams in meeting deadlines and client expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in MEP consulting or building systems design
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of NEC and building electrical systems
• Experience working on commercial, education, government, or healthcare projects
• EIT or on track toward licensure
