Job Description
GL Staffing is seeking for a Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical with expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, processes, and tooling that support plant production activities.
Salary: 70k - 80k a year (Based on experience)
Location: Orlando, FL
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops test, manufacturing, and various assembly processes.
- Designs, develops, and maintains electrical/electronic test fixtures, jigs, and automated test equipment (ATE).
- Uses engineering tools and statistical concepts to maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Investigates process issues and initiates corrective actions.
- Generates and maintains production-level documentation and operating procedures.
- Specifies and initiates the purchase of manufacturing tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Plans, specifies, and justifies capital equipment expenditures.
- Leads product and/or process improvement teams.
- Designs and develops test systems and electronic systems to support product testing and manufacturing.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a concurrent engineering environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with electronic design of test fixtures and systems is required.
- Hands-on role requiring interaction across multiple disciplines within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, and Microsoft AX is .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to handle ITAR-controlled documents without requiring an export license.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Primarily office-based work environment.
- Minimal lifting required.
