As an Electrical Engineer, you are transitioning from a foundational role to one with increased responsibilities and autonomy in the design and analysis of electrical control systems pertaining to aircraft modification. You'll harness the power of advanced engineering CAD, PDM, and PLM software to refine and innovate designs. While you continue to learn from seasoned professionals, you're expected to proactively identify challenges, suggest improvements, and contribute more significantly to the team's overall objectives. Collaborative project work will have you working alongside a diverse team, where your expanded knowledge and problem-solving skills will be pivotal in driving project success. You’ll also develop skills for program supervisor roles as part of a project design team.

Duties:

• Advanced Design and Technical Development: Assist senior electrical designers and system leads in designing, simulating, analyzing, and introducing innovations in electrical control systems and/or components relevant to aircraft modification. Work on continuous improvement of systems based on feedback and testing.

• Project Coordination and Compliance: Oversee certain segments of projects. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and design requirements. Inspect completed installations for quality assurance.

• Budgeting and Financial Management: Contribute to budget development and cost estimations, ensuring projects are executed within allocated resources and project schedule.

• Collaboration and Teamwork: Engage with multidisciplinary teams, supporting senior engineers and ensuring the seamless integration of electrical systems within broader aerospace projects.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Produce, maintain, and share essential engineering documentation, keeping stakeholders informed and promoting best practices within the team.


Skills & Experience:

• Intermediate Knowledge and Oversight: Demonstrates a solid grasp on electrical engineering concepts, with the ability to handle moderately complex issues autonomously.

• Communication Proficiency: Showcases strong oral and written communication abilities, facilitating accurate information exchange with both peers and senior team members.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Employs enhanced problem-solving techniques and the latest tools and introduces innovative solutions when addressing challenges.

• Project Management and Organization: Exhibits enhanced project management capabilities, emphasizing meticulous attention to detail, precision, and adherence to tight deadlines, guaranteeing prompt and precise project deliverables.

• Collaborative Approach: Can work independently on projects, but also knows when to collaborate, seek or provide guidance as the situation demands.


Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in avionics and electrical systems design.


Minimum Years Experience:

2-4+ years

Senior System Lead or Engineering Project Manager
