Electrical Engineer | Ogden, UT


Nexeo HR is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of advanced automated manufacturing equipment at a leading engineering and production site in Ogden, UT.


This hands-on, project-driven role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in electrical panel design and automation systems, who enjoy working in a collaborative, safety-focused engineering environment.


Responsibilities

•Estimate electrical design labor and hardware costs for automation projects

•Select electrical components in collaboration with Automation Engineers

•Design electrical and pneumatic schematics using DraftSight (2D CAD)

•Design electrical enclosures in SolidWorks (3D CAD)

•Ensure machine safety in coordination with the Safety Department

•Maintain and update standard parts lists; source replacements for obsolete components

•Research new technologies and determine electrical interface requirements

•Apply or develop new electrical standards for emerging technologies

•Coordinate utility requirements (power, air, hydraulic, gas) with Facilities

•Create and manage electrical CAD data and drawings in EPDM

•Support machine build, debug, and buyoff phases

•Apply redlines and update electrical drawings throughout development

•Generate electrical spare parts lists for new projects

•Order electrical components and PPE tags


Qualifications

•BS in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of electrical systems design and programming experience

•Proficient in SolidWorks and DraftSight

•Electrical panel design experience (Required)

•Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs ()

•Strong understanding of industrial automation environments and machine safety

•Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment


Pay

$35.00 per hour


Schedule

Day shift | Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
