Electrical Engineer in Nottingham

Job DescriptionElectrical Engineer Location: Nottingham Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Type: Permanent, full-time The opportunity A fast-growing M&E and low carbon consultancy is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join its Nottingham head office. You’ll design electrical systems across a varied project mix and help shape low carbon solutions, working alongside the directors who founded the business. What you’ll do * Design electrical services: LV distribution, small power, general and emergency lighting, fire alarm, access control and containment * Carry out cable sizing, voltage drop and protection calculations * Produce lighting designs and calculations * Contribute electrical design to low carbon projects, including PV, battery storage and EV charging * Prepare drawings, schematics and specifications * Coordinate with mechanical and design teams in BIM, and support site visits, testing and commissioning What you’ll need * Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering * Building services electrical design experience, ideally in a consultancy * Good knowledge of BS 7671, BS 5839 and BS 5266 * Amtech, DIALux/Relux and AutoCAD; Revit MEP an advantage * Strong attention to detail and good communication skills What’s on offer * Competitive salary based on experience * Pension, holiday, bonus * Close support from experienced directors * Support towards IEng/CEng * Clear progression in a growing consultancy To apply, send your CV
