Electrical Engineer MEP

Paradigm Consulting Engineers is seeking a full-time electrical designer or engineer.
Qualifications
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers and clients
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and building construction
- Working knowledge of Electrical Code and ICC Building Codes
Job Duties
- Interpret applicable building codes and applicable standards.
- Design commercial and industrial electrical power systems.
- Prepare power plans, lighting plans, panel schedules, and single line diagrams.
- Specify electrical equipment including switchboards, panelboards, transformers, etc.
- Size feeders and branch circuit conductors.
- Perform electrical load calculations.
- Layout fire alarm devices based on NFPA 72.
- Produce design drawings, sketches, and schedules utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Review submittals and shop drawings.
- Perform engineering field activities, including surveying existing conditions and construction observation.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and plumbing.
