Electrical Engineer in Leeds
Job Description
We are recruiting for an electrically bias Engineer, however the ideal candidate will be multi-skilled with exposure to PLC's and automated equipment. This is a full time permanent role working for a well established client in the Leeds LS9 area, the successful candidate will work rotational weekly shifts Monday to Friday.

What you'll be doing -
\n
- \n
- Point of contact for all technical matters on shift across the whole factory
- Drive improvements in performance of machinery
- Engineering corrective actions to support the production line and production management
- Adhering to health and safety and legislation at at all times
- Identify and implement plans to eliminate unnecessary losses such as cost, waste and inefficiencies.
- Carry out checks and inspection of plant, machinery, and equipment, maximise machine utilisation, decrease cycle times.

What we're looking for -
\n
- \n
- Educated to a minimum NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering time served apprenticeship
- 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations is desirable
- Knowledge in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate strong mechanical comprehension
- Have working knowledge of PLC fault-finding and repair, any programming skills would be of great interest.
- Experience of modern manufacturing techniques (5S, Lean and TPM would be ideal).

Hours of work -
\n
Monday to Friday, 3 week rotational shifts
\n
- \n
- Week 1 - 6am-2pm
- Week 2 - 2pm-10pm
- Week 3 - 10pm-6am
