Electrical Engineer

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Chattanooga, TN. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile institutional projects, including healthcare and large-scale commercial developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP consulting engineering, power distribution design, and electrical system analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Design power distribution and lighting systems for large institutional and commercial projects
• Develop construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
• Perform electrical system calculations and analysis
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, architects, and clients
• Assist with medium voltage distribution system design (5kV and above)
• Conduct or support short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using software such as SKM or ETAP
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and client meetings
• Support healthcare and master planning projects as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited institution
• 1+ years of electrical design experience within the MEP industry
• Previous experience working for a consulting engineering firm
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of power distribution and lighting design

• EIT or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience with large-scale institutional projects
• Healthcare project experience
• Master planning experience
• Medium voltage distribution and design experience
• Experience performing short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM, ETAP, or similar software
