Job Description
Kantor Energy are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to work on various Kantor projects, based in \nthe Kantor/Dornan London Office.\nKantor is a specialist engineering contractor, that has been designing and building innovative and sustainable \nenergy systems for clients across the UK and Ireland for over 12 years. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the \nDornan Engineering Group.\n\nYour day to day will include:\n\nConcept design, detailed design and project delivery electrical engineering across a range of scales \nand types of heat network projects around the UK, with a focus on the London area.\n• Engagement with supply chain during both initial procurement and delivery phases to ensure optimal \nproduct selection and delivery.\n• Act as lead electrical project engineer on a number of live projects, working directly under the Project \nLead Engineer.\n• Primarily site-based role (most sites based in London, with some potential for site attendance outside of \nLondon also), with time also spent in the Kantor/Dornan London office, as need dictates.\n• Review, analysis and reporting on project performance.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\nLevel 8 / Honours Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering\nMin 5 years' experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably within the energy sector\nFlexible and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to take on novel challenges\nGood understanding of LV power systems for industrial, commercial and multi-residential facilities and in \nparticular transformers, main distribution boards, sub-distribution boards, cabling and containment \nsystems, PFC units and UPS systems.\nCapability (and ideally experience) in cable sizing calculation software, e.g. Amtech.\nProficiency in MS Office suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Word\nSome experience preferable in use of computer drawing software, e.g.
