Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our client’s Auxiliary Boilers Project at a school in the Gainesville, FL area. The role supports design review, bidding, and construction‐phase engineering activities. This part‐time assignment offers a flexible schedule that may vary week to week—typically under 20 hours, with the potential to increase up to 40 hours during peak project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering reviews during the project design phase
• Serve as the Owner’s Engineer throughout the project lifecycle
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, manuals, and procurement packages
• Support bid specifications, bid evaluations, and constructability reviews
• Provide technical oversight of work performed by the Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm
• Respond to RFIs and provide field engineering support during construction

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience reviewing electrical design documents and technical specifications
• Knowledge of construction bidding processes and constructability assessments
• Experience supporting RFIs and coordinating field engineering activities
• Ability to work a variable, part‐time schedule

Qualifications

• Experience with power systems, industrial facilities, or boiler systems
• Previous experience acting as an Owner’s Engineer or Owner’s Representative
