Job Description
Electrical Technician\n\nLocation: Coventry\n Salary: Competitive + Benefits\n Contract: Permanent, Full-Time\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join a dynamic maintenance team. This role is critical in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical services across a diverse estate. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnostics, repairs, and minor installation works on a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nRespond to maintenance requests and emergency situations, ensuring timely and safe resolution.\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance tasks, including: \nPeriodic Inspection & Testing\nEmergency Lighting Testing\nFire Alarm Testing\nPortable Appliance Testing\nDiagnose faults and determine appropriate solutions, escalating where necessary.\nAssist with installation and refurbishment projects, including minor power systems.\nEnsure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.\nMaintain accurate records, timesheets, and service documentation.\nLiaise with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to minimize disruption and deliver excellent customer service.What We're Looking For\n\nEssential:\n\nRecognized apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electrical building services (commercial, industrial, domestic).\nNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Maintenance.\nCity & Guilds qualifications including: \n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)\nInspection & Testing of Electrical Installations\nStrong understanding of statutory compliance and Health & Safety.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet SLAs.\nFull, clean UK or EU driving license.Desirable:\n\nKnowledge of fire alarm systems (BS 5839).\nExperience with LV/HV systems.\nAwareness of confined space entry and asbestos safety.\nUnderstanding of mechanical building systems.Why Apply?\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Technician to join a forward-thinking team, working on varied and challenging projects.
