is seeking an industry-leading Senior-level Electrical Engineer with 20+ years of relevant industry experience (i.e., Associate Principal or Principal) to provide technical leadership to our diverse group of electrical engineering consultants.

At WJE, we strive to provide innovative, high-quality, and practical solutions for our clients on electrical control and power applications, including heavy movable structures, electrical utility engineering, rail transit, and industrial electrical infrastructure. Projects range from design and system specification to evaluation and forensic investigation.
Responsibilities:
Technical project execution:
applying sound engineering judgment, understanding codes and industry practices; collaborating across disciplines; leveraging expertise in control and power systems; preparing client deliverables; reviewing work; and performing electrical fieldwork.
Project management:
client development, scoping, team assembly, schedule and budget management, and client expectation management.
Mentorship:
fostering knowledge sharing and team development both locally and company-wide, on projects, and in technical and career growth.
Contributions to practice and company objectives:
engaging in industry organizations, training initiatives, and attracting and developing new consultants.
Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical)
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; Master’s
20+ years of relevant experience in energy, power, transit, civil infrastructure, or related fields
Established expertise in control and power systems
Excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal
Ability to prioritize and adapt while maintaining high standards
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel (~30%) and work at heights, in confined and hazardous environments, outdoors, and operate equipment safely.
