Electrical Engineer (Direct Hire)

Location: Columbus, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Role Overview

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a premier client in the Columbus area. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a technical leader ready to design, evaluate, and implement complex power distribution systems. You will handle everything from site data collection to advanced power analysis and commissioning support.

Essential Skillset

  • System Design: Develop detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports for power distribution and electrical systems.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive One-line diagrams, electrical room layouts, and Raceway/Wiring schedules.
  • Specialized Design: Manage Lighting and Grounding System designs.
  • Equipment Specification: Select and specify Switchgear, Transformers, MCCs, Power Panels, and related hardware.
  • Power Analysis: Perform critical analysis using Easy Power and/or SKM, including:
    • Short Circuit Analysis
    • Arc Flash Analysis
    • Protective Device Coordination
  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI codes and standards.
  • Field Work: Provide on-site evaluation of existing systems and offer commissioning support for new electrical installations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility: * Willingness to travel to client sites.
    • Ability to work overtime as projects require.
    • Adaptability to work both remotely and in-office.
