ReconCraft is seeking an early career Electrical Engineer to support the design and production of advanced maritime vessels and platforms. Based in Clackamas, Oregon, this role offers hands-on engineering experience in a collaborative manufacturing environment, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable power and control systems for manned and unmanned marine applications.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Support electrical and control system design for AC/DC power and distribution.
- Perform load analysis and develop one-line diagrams, schematics, and interconnect drawings.
- Select electrical components and develop Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Create and maintain shop and fabrication drawings for production.
- Translate project requirements into compliant design documentation.
- Act as a technical liaison between engineering and production teams.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and design refinement activities.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Citizenship
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by 22 CFR ยง120.15
- Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (or graduating in 2026)
- Required Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools
- Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Qualifications
- Interest in marine or maritime systems
- Familiarity with CANBUS, NMEA 2000, J1939, Ethernet-based protocol
- Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with limited shop floor support
- Occasional physical activity for inspections and testing
