We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering & Regulatory team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting abilities, and experience supporting manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and proven experience applying structured problem-solving techniques to diagnose electrical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.

As a key member of our organization, you will design, test, troubleshoot, and improve electrical systems that support manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve electrical systems, components, and equipment supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Create, modify, and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, and control system issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Apply structured troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis techniques to identify failure causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Lead or support failure investigations, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform system testing, validation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Analyze technical data, test results, and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Operations teams to achieve project and production objectives.
  • Support installation, startup, and qualification of new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, including NEC requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with NSF3, UL921, and EPA Energy Star 3.0 requirements.
  • Coordinate with certification agencies, including NSF, Intertek, UL, and other regulatory organizations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support materials for internal teams, including Technical Support.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, industrial equipment, and electronic components.
  • Ability to read, create, and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience with structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to identify electrical failures, investigate contributing factors, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Previous employment history must be verifiable and may be subject to employment verification with prior employers.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience supporting production equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, FMEA, CAPA, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
  • CAD or AutoCAD Electrical experience.
  • Knowledge of automation, controls, robotics, and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Basic Spanish communication skills.
