Electrical Maintenance Engineer\n\nLocation - Cambridge\n\nHours - Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm\n\nSalary - up to £40,900\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established engineering team Cambridgeshire.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out the operation and routine maintenance of all electrical distribution systems, including CHP feeds, emergency standby supplies and systems operating under statutory regulations.\nUndertake installation works, equipment upgrades and building modifications.\nMonitor and respond to alarms via the Building Management System (BMS)\nComply with statutory requirements, including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and Installation Testing.\nEnsure the effective operation of normal, emergency and back-up electrical supply systems, as well as the Fire Alarm system.\nAssist in preparing O&M budgets and cost estimates for minor works.\nMaintain accurate service and maintenance records.\nLiaise with specialist contractors servicing plant under your responsibility.Requirements\n\nBTEC or City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical discipline.\nIEE 18th Edition qualification.\nStrong knowledge of electrical supply systems and M&E engineering services.\nProven ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults.\nExperience with local power and lighting systems.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong accuracy, attention to detail and organisational abilities.\nAbility to work independently and within a team.\nCompetent in the use of hand/power tools and machinery.\nAbility to interpret technical drawings.Benefits include:\n\n25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 28 after 3 years service.\nLife assurance\nMarket leading Pension scheme \nTravel to Work scheme\nFree Parking\nGym MembershipShould this be of interest, please apply or reach out (url removed)
