What You'll Do
Relate Search is partnering with a global manufacturing organization in search of an Electrical Engineer to support a high-speed, 24/7 production facility. This role combines hands-on electrical engineering, automation, project management, and leadership responsibilities while serving as a key technical resource for the operation. The Electrical Engineer will oversee electrical systems, controls, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and a team of skilled union electricians and electronic technicians. Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of plant electrical systems, controls, automation, and power distribution equipment.
- Manage capital projects, equipment installations, facility modifications, and engineering initiatives to improve plant performance and reliability.
- Supervise, develop, and support a team of electricians and electronic technicians while promoting a strong safety culture and operational excellence.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Develop electrical drawings, specifications, testing procedures, and preventive maintenance strategies to support long-term facility performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience combined with an Associate degree.
- Five or more years of experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment and at least three years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, variable frequency drives, instrumentation, and process controls.
- Experience supporting facility systems including compressed air, hydraulics, water, vacuum, and heating/cooling infrastructure.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and experience programming or supporting PLC-based control systems.
