\n

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support product development and engineering activities for medical equipment. The engineer will contribute to new product development, existing product modifications, and end-of-life product activities. The role requires strong experience in electrical/electronic design, PCB and circuit analysis, medical device development, and design controls.

\n

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, contractors, and operations teams to develop and implement design updates, maintain existing product functionality, and support product improvements and verification activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead for electronic product development and end-of-life activities.
  • \n

  • Support new product development and modifications to existing product designs.
  • \n

  • Develop solutions to technical problems related to current product designs.
  • \n

  • Analyze PCB schematics, circuit designs, and circuit boards.
  • \n

  • Coordinate with suppliers, external contractors, and internal Operations teams on product updates and improvements.
  • \n

  • Support the development of additional capabilities and improvements for existing products.
  • \n

  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet business and project requirements.
  • \n

  • Support and provide guidance related to medical device design controls.
  • \n

  • Develop and support product verification testing and other required testing activities.
  • \n

  • Use engineering tools and methodologies such as Design of Experiments (DOE), SPC, and other problem-solving techniques.
  • \n

  • Evaluate existing products and recommend techniques or design changes to improve performance and reliability.
  • \n

  • Prioritize and manage multiple engineering assignments and deadlines.
  • \n

  • Provide clear technical communication and feedback to supervisors and team members.
  • \n

  • Consider business objectives, product requirements, cost implications, and quality requirements when developing engineering solutions.
  • \n

  • Collaborate effectively as both a team member and technical leader within cross-functional teams.
  • \n

  • Follow applicable safety procedures and communicate unsafe conditions or practices to management.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or related Technology field.
  • \n

  • Experience in electrical/electronic design and development, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • \n

  • Strong PCB, circuit design, schematic reading, and circuit board analysis skills.
  • \n

  • Experience with new product development and existing product modifications.
  • \n

  • Understanding of medical device design controls.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 820.30 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of IEC 60601-1 for medical electrical equipment.
  • \n

  • Experience with development and verification of electronic medical equipment, preferably involving embedded firmware.
  • \n

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently on technical assignments and prioritize multiple tasks.
