We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to work within our hardware design team. This position will work with the broader engineering team and be specifically focused on the design of new products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the engineering team to design new and existing power electronic embedded systems. Including PCB schematics, PCB design, and system level interconnect design.
  • Maintain existing products design to make improvements over the life of the product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers and system architects, to define requirements.
  • Ensure all hardware designs comply with a DFT strategy for all of Sol-Ark’s end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in the full product development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Assist the team in FMEAs, WCCA, root cause analysis and other quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support when needed.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for designs, development processes, and project deliverables.
  • Assist in defining test requirements, test plans, and analysing test results

Essential Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Master's or Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited US University.
  • Solid understanding of power electronics.
  • Proficiency with Altium or similar schematic capture and layout tools.
  • Ability to learn designing products to quality and safety standard.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of power electronics and control algorithms.
  • Experience in Python for scripts is a plus.
  • Knowledge of embedded programming is a plus.
