Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This is a hands-on role supporting plant operations in Rittman, OH, with a strong focus on leading CAPEX projects, troubleshooting equipment, and managing contractors. The ideal candidate will bring practical manufacturing experience, PLC expertise, and a commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient systems.
In this role, you will
- Lead and manage capital projects, from specifying materials to overseeing installations within scope and budget
- Troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and control systems (Allen Bradley )
- Support electrical systems from 12V to 480V, including industrial power distribution and controls
- Manage contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and project standards are met
- Perform diagnostics to minimize downtime and improve reliability
- Ensure adherence to plant safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Provide operational support for plant systems as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Controls
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting (target 5–8 years)
- Proven success leading CAPEX projects and installations
- Hands-on expertise with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and power systems
- Experience with industrial controls and VFDs
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills with a practical, results-oriented approach
- Contractor management experience with a focus on safety and results
