Electrical Engineer

We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Electrical Engineer to join their Maintenance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This position offers a competitive salary, dependant on experience, with structured shifts to support 24/7 production demands. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to join a dynamic and skilled maintenance department within a fast-paced industrial setting.
Our client operates within a heavy manufacturing environment, supplying precision-forged and machined components. They are seeking a proactive and safety-conscious individual with strong electrical knowledge and a flexible attitude to work.
Electrical Engineer Main Responsibilities:
* Provide electrical engineering support across all areas of the site, ensuring consistent uptime of critical machinery.
* Operate safely and efficiently at all times, in line with company and legislative standards.
* Ensure high levels of machine availability and reliability to support production targets.
* Contribute to long-term maintenance strategies that focus on both legacy and modern equipment.
* Collaborate with Maintenance Management and Area Managers to optimise equipment performance.
* Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment, including forging presses, hammers, furnaces, CNC lathes, manual lathes, millers, and borers.
* Respond promptly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Deliver improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
* Assist with installation and ongoing maintenance of all site electrical services.
* Help train and support apprentices within the maintenance department.
* Maintain strong adherence to all health, safety, and compliance protocols.
Electrical Engineer required skills and experience:
* Strong understanding of electrical principles and fault-finding techniques.
* Recognised Electrical qualifications – C&G and/or time-served apprenticeship.
* Background in industrial or manufacturing environments is essential.
* Ability to work flexibly to accommodate production demands.
* Effective communication skills and team-oriented approach.
* Experience working alongside sub-contractors and internal departments.
