Industrial ElectricalÂ
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and evaluate electrical equipment, including motor bearings, lubrication systems, commutation, and signs of wear, vibration, or misalignment.
- Utilize diagnostic testing equipment to identify electrical issues and determine optimal repair strategies to minimize production downtime.
- Recommend immediate equipment shutdowns when necessary to prevent damage, or advise on safe continued operation when appropriate.
- Plan and execute repairs by assessing material needs and selecting the most efficient repair approach.
Maintenance & Repair Duties:
- Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate various electrical components and systems.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and make both temporary and permanent repairs as needed.
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on cranes and related equipment.
- Conduct mechanical repairs associated with electrical servicing tasks.
- Erect scaffolding and perform basic rigging as required for maintenance access.
- Operate basic machine tools such as drill presses, power saws, portable drills, and grinders.
- Occasionally perform arc welding and use cutting torches during repair and maintenance activities.
Operational Support:
- Operate high-lift equipment in support of electrical maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and replenish fluid and LP gas levels as needed.
- Report any conditions requiring further maintenance or safety attention.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Must meet company standards for fall protection compliance
