About the Role:
\n
Working in Assembly, this position works closely with the Production Engineering and Quality departments to assemble electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro/mechanical assemblies from drawings and/or procedures.
\n
Skills/Experience required for role of Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Assembler:
\n
• Minimum 2 years assembling electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
\n
• Trained to IPC 610 requirements and with minimum 2 years’ experience of soldering and crimping components and assemblies, including wiring cable assemblies and PCB’s.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years assembling mechanical and/or electromechanical sub-assemblies and products.
\n
• Can work with minimal supervision but be team orientated.
\n
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings desirable but not essential.
\n
\n
The job role will include:
\n
Working within a cross-trained team of experienced technical assembly staff this role will involve.
\n
• Assembly of electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies from drawings and / or procedures using equipment including hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and assembly fixtures safely and correctly.
\n
• Assembly work could include solder and crimping of assemblies or other components such as cable looms or pcb’s.
\n
• Testing and inspection of assemblies via procedures, jigs and fixtures
\n
• General assembly work to meet monthly targets
\n
• Could involve working within a dust free, clean room environment
\n
• Support training of new team members when required
\n
• Supports wider operational activities when required
\n
• Follow company quality standards, ISO procedures, and ESD control
\n
• Ensure all work meets engineering specifications and customer requirements.
\n
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with 5S principles
\n
