Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. Proficiency in designing and implementing low (24vdc controls) and medium voltage (480v power) electrical distribution systems is essential, with a preference for experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and petrochemical, or power . This role involves travel to client sites as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for capital projects across various industries.
- Develop construction and repair designs for primary and secondary electrical distribution, transformers, wiring, industrial controls, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Conduct power system coordination modeling to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Design layouts and select equipment for electrical distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
- Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed electrical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in designing and implementing low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for project-related activities.

- Experience in one or more of the following sectors: chemical processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, oil and petrochemical, or power .
