Electrical Designer 3 - Nuclear Power

Description

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home.

This position offers the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills, working in a multi-disciplined team environment with other designers and engineers to prepare design drawings based on input.

You will apply your computer-aided drafting skills and receive hands-on training in 3D design software environments.

You will create master sketches to scale, showing the relation of proposed installations to existing facilities with exact specifications and dimensions.

You may accompany experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your projects.

While interfacing with vendors and contractors, you may explain your drawings to facilitate appropriate design adjustments.

Qualifications

An Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting, or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.

5+ years of drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (e.g., MicroStation).

Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.

Knowledge of MicroStation.

Ability to multi-task across projects.

Valued but not required:

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, drawings, and models.

Understanding of engineering science and technology, including relating equipment to technical designs.
