Electrical Design EngineerLocation: West YorkshireSalary: £40,000-£45,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established and growing engineering business to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist manufacturer delivering bespoke engineered solutions across a diverse range of industries.

The role will play a key part in the design and development of electrical control systems, with a strong focus on control panel design. You’ll be working within a collaborative engineering team, supporting projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical control panels in line with customer specifications and industry standards
  • Produce detailed electrical schematics using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar)
  • Interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical design solutions
  • Support the build, testing, and commissioning phases where required
  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure project delivery
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and quality standards

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in electrical design, with a strong focus on control panel design
  • Ability to produce accurate electrical drawings and documentation
  • Good understanding of electrical systems, components, and standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable:

  • Experience with PLC programming (advantageous but not essential)
  • Knowledge of industrial automation systems
