Electrical Design Engineer

£40,000-£60,000 + benefits
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading offshore engineering business delivering offshore equipment to oil&gas, energy/wind industries. They are now looking to bring an experenced Electrical Design Engineer to work on their exciting and varied projects.
Electrical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
* Specifies and designs control system circuits and documentation.
* Develops and simulates PLC, HMI/SCADA systems and software.
* Configures and commissions inverter drives.
* Checks and approves electrical schematics.
* Checks calculations and architecture.
* Conducts functional safety studies.
* Reviews designs against DNV and/or other standards.
* Selects and procures control system components.
* Contributes to sales proposals.
* Liaises with suppliers for expediting purposes.
Electrical Design Engineer Key Requirements:
* Degree-level qualification, or equivalent.
* Experienced in designing and commissioning safety automation and control systems for marine and/or hazardous environments.
* Understands PLC programming for safety and process applications.
* On-site commissioning and fault-finding experience.
* Siemens TIA Portal experience.
* Experience with DNV certification (optional)
* Experience with SIL (optional)
