Outside IR35 Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Contract Electrical Design Engineer for with a leading power and energy solutions business. They specialise in delivering innovative, low carbon energy systems across large scale infrastructure and industrial projects based just outside of Manchester.

Outside IR35 Electrical Design Engineer

The initial contract is for four months, with chance of extension as new projects come through. The role sits outside IR35 working within a well-established design team on a major off grid project involving containerised gas engines, switchboards, transformers, and field instrumentation.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is proficient with Amtech, Trimble or ProDesign for cable sizing, LV cable schedules, and related electrical calculations.
• Has experience producing block cable diagrams, termination schedules, and single line drawings.
• Can use AutoCAD Light confidently for producing design documentation.
• Ideally has exposure to industrial or power environments, though this is not essential.
