Electrical Design Engineer for Lab Test Means

Our client has an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join them on a contract basis based in Filton until the 30th March, with possibility of extension.



You will join the Test Centre and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test benches focused on Hydrogen testing. You will join a multi-disciplinary team: Test Means Architecture & Integration.



Role: Electrical Design Engineer for Laboratory Test Means

Location: Filton, 60% onsite

Hours: 35 per week

Clearance: BPSS required to start

Hourly Rate: Up to £45 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35



What you'll be doing:



Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems

Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics

Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)

Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems

Requirements:

Essential



8+ years' experience in a similar role

Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)

Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems

Understanding of Testing principles

Experience with electrical architecture design

Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems

Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)

Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)

Team spirit and agility
