An award-winning MEP consulting firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our growing Charlotte, NC office. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of local and projects, participating in the full project lifecycle—from design through construction close-out.

Key Responsibilities

Design and coordinate electrical building systems including:

Power distribution systems
-
Lighting systems
-
Fire alarm systems
-
Low-voltage infrastructure
-
Emergency power and UPS systems
-

Coordinate service utilities with local utility providers
-
Ensure compliance with city and state permitting agencies
-
Participate in construction administration, including site visits and inspections
-
Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams
-
Support projects through all phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction close-out
Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
-
Demonstrated experience supporting projects from design through final construction close-out
-
Strong knowledge of building codes and energy codes
-
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to clients and project teams
Skills

Working knowledge of Revit
