A global friction welding manufacturer is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team based around the Birmingham area\n\n The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Engineer with a strong design background. Operating at the Halesowen site, you will be responsible for the design and technical support of industrial control panels and more\n\n This is a fantastic opportunity with a multi- welding company who supply to some the biggest names in the world\n\n Role: Electrical Design Engineer\n\n Office Location: Birmingham \n\n Salary: £55,000 - £60,000\n\nThe key responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer role will be:\n\nPrepare and configure both standard and custom electrical wiring drawings, along with complete Bills of Materials (BOMs).\n\nEnsure all designs comply with relevant regulatory, design, and testing requirements.\n\nProduce design documentation including drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.\n\nCollaborate with suppliers to ensure delivered solutions meet required performance standards.\n\nProvide technical guidance and promote best practices in industrial control panel design.\n\nMaintain compliance with applicable design and testing standards throughout project lifecycles.\n\nDevelop and support test rigs, simulation models, and prototype control systems.\n\nGenerate safety approval and sign-off documentation.\n\nPerform calculations in line with applicable standards (e.g. BS EN 13849) and demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant electrical standards (e.g.
