JR ENGINEER, DESIGNER

The Office is referred to herein as Inatsuka Engineering LLC.

Reports to Senior Engineer or Principal. Training is included.

Responsibilities
•    Represent the Office in a professional manner at all times.
•    Perform engineering calculations as directed by a Senior Engineer or Principal.
•    Develop plan markups for drafting production.
•    Assist the Senior Engineer or Principal with meeting project objectives and deadlines.
•    Endeavor to work within time and cost budgets.
•    Assist the Senior Engineer or Principal with site work.
•    Attend meetings accompanied by a Senior Engineer or Principal.
•    Assist with construction administration tasks as directed by a Senior Engineer or Principal.  This may also include site observations during construction.  Safety precautions as directed by the Safety Officer for the General Contractor shall be adhered to.
•    Professional conduct shall be in accordance with Inatsuka Engineering LLC Core Values.
•    Ongoing professional development.
•    Independently project manage and complete design documentation(Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding and Construction Administration) for small projects (<$15K) under the oversight of an Engineer, Sr. Engineer or Principal within budget.

Professional Skills
•    Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university (for Junior or Graduate Engineer).
•    Equivalent associate’s degree from a technical or vocational school, or equivalent practical work experience.
•    Proficiency with computers and word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), presentation (MS PowerPoint) and drafting (AutoCAD, Revit) software.
