This is a hands-on design role working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You’ll lead the electrical specification and integration of complex control systems, working from customer requirements through to full production handover.



Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:



Design detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings

Translate client requirements into compliant and cost-effective designs

Select and specify components for performance, availability, and regulation

Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams to ensure full integration

Support prototype development and supplier communication

Produce documentation including BOMs, calculations, and compliance packs

Support multiple projects in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:



Solid background in electrical/control panel design

Strong experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical

Skilled in electrical schematics, BOM structures, and component selection

Familiarity with mechanical design and ability to read 3D models ()

Relevant engineering qualification (Degree or HND/HNC but not essential)

Comfortable working across several active projects with tight deadlines

Clear communicator and team player with a proactive mindset

Located in Staffordshire, this role would be commutable from; Derby, Burton-upon-Trent, Lichfield, Swadlincote and Ashby-de-la-Zouch
