Design-Build Electrical Estimator — Hanover, MD

Critical Peake Electrical Services, part of the growing Mid-Atlantic Electric Team, is hiring in Hanover, Maryland, to support our expanding client base across the DC–Maryland–Virginia region.

As a Design-Build Electrical Estimator, you’ll shape the success of our projects by producing accurate, timely estimates and partnering closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and suppliers. What You’ll Do

• Review drawings, specs, and contract documents to define scope and requirements.
• Quantify materials, labor, equipment, and production rates; build detailed takeoffs and cost models.
• Solicit, analyze, and level quotes from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions, measurements, and constructability.
• Develop complete estimates (labor, material, equipment, indirect/overhead) and cost forecasts.
• Prepare clear proposal packages and support bid reviews and hand-offs to operations.
• Maintain cost databases and tracking spreadsheets for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as an electrical design-build estimator (commercial and/or multifamily/residential).
• Strong analytical and math skills; comfortable building detailed takeoffs and unit-cost models.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, or similar) and Excel.
• Working knowledge of construction contracts, codes, and permitting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
• Existing customer relationships.
• Organized, detail-driven, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of green building/sustainability and the ability to refer qualified electricians.
