Summary of Position:
The Electrical Controls Engineer will maintain and improve existing designs while developing new, state-of-the-art batching controls and related equipment. This role is responsible for design analysis, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful production of finished products. It also includes scheduling and managing workflow across available engineering resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience programming and working with industrial controls—preferably batching equipment—including troubleshooting.
- 2+ years of experience with:
- Allen-Bradley Logix 500/5000 PLC programming
- Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View Studio
- Visual Basic
- CAD software for schematics
- Ability to learn, assemble, and operate the company's equipment (training provided).
- Strong visualization skills to interpret and design layouts.
- Proficiency in reading, preparing, and understanding engineering documentation.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
- SQL database knowledge for PLC integration ( but not required).
- Prior panel-build experience is a plus.
