Job Description:

Vapor Systems Technologies, Inc. is seeking a full-time, direct hire engineer to support all departments in defining, developing, and sustaining products and production equipment for the retail fueling industry. This position shares dual responsibility with the primary responsibilities being engineering and production support, and the secondary being project lead as required.

Job Responsibilities:

Production Support:

·      Collaborative effort with other engineering entities to design, build, and validate new production support equipment.

·      Troubleshoot production equipment as required to identify problems and implement corrective measures.

·      Continually evaluate production equipment and processes to identify areas of improvement.

·      Identify and maintain a critical component inventory to ensure quick repairs of production equipment.

·      Write work instructions for new and/or existing processes.

Product Development:

·      Product development from concept to production.

·      Create CAD models, drawings, and generate Bills of Materials for complete product definition.

·      Select materials that meet product requirements to satisfy regulatory (UL, CARB) (regulatory) requirements.

·      Clear and concise communication with company management on responsibility developments.

·      Write functional design requirement specifications, including safety standards, which can include hazardous location requirements based on expected functionality.

Project Lead:

·      Take ownership and lead project teams.

·      Develop project schedules, requirement documentation, and any other project driving responsibilities.

·      Develop project budgets.

Qualifications:

·      Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering.

·      Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development and/or manufacturing engineering.

·      Proficient in 3D modeling software – SolidWorks .

·      Experience in tooling/fixturing design.

·      Basic understanding of pneumatic systems.

·      Basic understanding of hydraulic systems.

·      Basic understanding of electromechanical systems.

·      Knowledge of GD&T

·      Familiarity of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.

·      Good verbal/written/technical communication.

·      Team player, able to take direction, and be self-directed.

·      Ability to work independently with a strong drive to meet all project requirements and timelines.

$70,000 - $85,000

VST is a supplier of gasoline dispensing equipment for retail fueling outlets and is seeking qualified candidates with a Mechanical Engineering degree or Manufacturing Engineering degree. Electrical knowledge is also helpful. This person will become familiar with and have engineering responsibilities for all the VST product lines, which include gasoline hoses, safety breakaways, nozzles, and vapor processors.
