Electrical Controls Engineer in Auburn Hills

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to take charge of designing and delivering turnkey conveyor control systems for major projects. You’ll work 'hands-on' with a talented team of engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to bring complex automation systems to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Turn customer requirements into smart, efficient control system designs

• Create hardware/software drawings, PLC code, and operational configs

• Oversee panel builds, wiring, and subcontractor work

• Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration

• Support installs, debug, and start-up on-site (domestic & international)

• Drive projects from concept through completion

• Regular travel to customer sites 

Skills & Experience Required:

• BS in Electrical/Controls Engineering (or similar)

• Experience working on GM projects including conveyor systems (GM certification highly desirable)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD & PLC control software

• Strong organizational, problem-solving & communication skills

• Comfortable in industrial plant environments & leading others

• Valid driver’s license & passport (or ability to get one)
