Be a part of the exciting field of Automation! Walco Electric is looking for an experienced Electrical Control Panel Assembler to assemble and wire control panels using associated drawings Walco's Automation department specializes in the optimization of rotating electro-mechanical apparatus and automated equipment design.

The Electromechanical Group is in Providence, RI. The Automation and Controls Group is based in Pawtucket, RI and in Monterrey, Mexico. Walco serves all New England and other target markets in the USA and around the world.

What You'll Do:

• Physical assembly, wiring and testing of control panels for industrial equipment.
• Accurate fabrication of high-quality custom control panels using panel drawings, schematics, and appropriate tool in order to effectively complete product assembly.
• Fabricate panels to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components and point-to-point testing to ensure proper wiring.
• Use drills, taps, wire strippers and associated wiring tools in a safe manner.
• Perform quality continuity checks using multimeter.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience doing electrical controls assembly in a manufacturing related field (or related Vocational School credits)
• Must also have the skill to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and written, will all appropriate parties.

Salary: Up to $22/hr commensurate on experience

Hours: 7AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday. Overtime required according to business needs.
