Electrical Contracts Manager / Estimator

Role Overview
\n
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Electrical Contracts Manager / Estimator to join our professional and growing team.
\n
This is a client-facing position that blends technical expertise, project management, and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, managing projects from inception to completion, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
\n
While primarily focused on electrical works, an understanding of general building and site works would be highly beneficial, as many of our projects involve close coordination with other trades and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

- \nPrepare accurate quotations and estimates for commercial electrical projects, including testing, maintenance, and small works.\n
- \nManage electrical contracts from initial enquiry through to completion.\n
- \nConduct site surveys and liaise directly with clients to assess requirements and provide both technical and commercial advice.\n
- \nCoordinate and supervise on-site teams, ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.\n
- \nManage project budgets, procurement, and resource planning effectively.\n
- \nEnsure full compliance with electrical, building, and Health & Safety regulations.\n
- \nMaintain and develop strong, long-term client and supplier relationships.\n
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities for service improvement and client value.

Requirements
\n
- \n
- \nFully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).\n
- \n18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.\n
- \nProven experience in quoting, estimating, and managing commercial electrical contracts.\n
- \nStrong background in commercial installations, testing, and maintenance.\n
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- \nSolid understanding of current electrical regulations and industry best practices.\n
- \nA good grasp of general building and site works would be advantageous.\n
- \nFull UK driving licence required.\n
