Electrical Construction Manager (LVAP) – Leading Main Contractor - Major Projects in Cambridge\n\nWe’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager (LVAP – Electrical) to take ownership of Low Voltage Authorised Person duties during the services construction phase of a major project.\n\nThis role is ideal for a hands-on electrical professional with strong site leadership skills, a safety-first mindset, and proven experience managing live electrical environments.\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs the project’s dedicated LVAP, you’ll be responsible for the safe coordination, control, and energisation of electrical systems on site, working closely with the wider project team and supply chain.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * \n\n Acting as the LVAP during the electrical services construction phase\n\n * \n\n Coordinating all electrical site activities, inspections, and livening-up procedures in line with strict safety and compliance standards\n\n * \n\n Proactively managing health & safety across electrical works\n\n * \n\n Collaborating with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver programme and quality objectives\n\n * \n\n Day-to-day site coordination and planning to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently\n\n * \n\n Reviewing and managing RAMS, ITPs, permits, consents, and authorisations\n\n * \n\n Overseeing testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical installations\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience operating in an AP / LVAP role on construction projects\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of electrical testing, commissioning, and energisation\n\n * \n\n LVAP training completed and kept up to date\n\n * \n\n 18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n\n * \n\n Minimum 5 years’ practical electrical experience\n\n * \n\n SMSTS (or equivalent H&S qualification)\n\n * \n\n Confident working in live environments with multiple work packages and stakeholders\n\nWhy Apply?\n\n * \n\n Key leadership role on a complex electrical installation\n\n * \n\n Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and professional standards\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work collaboratively within a high-performing site team\n\n * \n\n Long-term project stability for the right candidate
